My name is Denise and I graduated from Adelphi University in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. I have worked on the Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, Respiratory, Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care Unit, Cath Lab areas in hospitals. I also worked out in the community as a home Health nurse, and finally did so telehealth work before taking a break. After moving to Florida, I came back to nursing to help out during the pandemic and did Covid Testing and office work, and realized i missed nursing so also did some home health here, but now i want to work for myself.
Some insurances only allow for a certain amount of nurse visits before they discharge you. Or maybe your insurance doesn't cover it all, or you don't have insurance. That is where i would come in.
I can help set up your medications, help you to understand them and what questions to ask your doctor about them. If you need to have them in a IV or a feeding tube.
I can change dressings, and foley catheters, colostomy bags as well.
I will Check your vitals, Blood sugars,
For a little extra i will take you to your appointments, go food shopping, stay for a bit to give your primary caretaker a break.
I also do dog walking.
